As software specialist at DuMedia, Inc., I was a part of the team that developed this program. The contemporary augmented reality scene was uniplanar. We were trying to push the limits of augmented reality by allowing multiple layers of augmentation on the camera feed. The software allowed having five videos layers which when curated, allowed four layers of augmentation on one layer of camera feed. Transparent video layers could be added in front and back of the camera feed, while the background of the camera feed could either be removed using chroma keying if necessary. The video describes various ways in which the layering can be configured to achieve different purposes.
